If you thought your family tree had rich and famous relatives within it then chances are it cannot compare to Justin Bieber?s!
According to reports, Bieber is a distant cousin of Ryan Gosling, and Avril Lavigne. Upon the findings of genealogists at Ancestry.com, the teen idol is related to Gosling and Laving and their families link back to the days of some of Quebec?s earliest settlers 400 years ago. The company?s findings were released this week.
In their detailed findings, the scientists found that ?The Biebs? and Gosling are 11th cousins once removed, while he and Lavigne are 12th cousins. Their common relatives, Mathurin Roy and Marguerite Bire,were both born in France in the early 1600s, married in 1637, and moved to Quebec. Additional findings indicate that Roy worked as a master mason.
Other discoveries of those that are famous and note-worthy from Ancestry.com include President Barack Obama. Earlier this year, officials at the company found that President Obama is possibly the descendant of an African slave.
